Yesterday I embedded a song by MC Lars; today I got word that it (meaning that very song) is up on the list of this years Hottest 100 Songs of All Time over at TripleJ. You should take a look at all the nominees, and put in a vote for your favorites; there are so many great ones on the list! On the Who front, IO9 has a quality spoiler for the next Dr Who Special, specifically about the guest stars expected. DVD Times has a review of the first special released to disk (basically saying save your money for the box set). And the Gallifreyan Embassy has posted details about their Second Life virtual meetings, including the data you need to find your way there. If you make the meeting, don’t forget to put on your Tardis Hud.

I mentioned yesterday that David Tennant will be appearing in several Sarah Jane Chronicles episodes in season 3. What I forgot to mention was they will be airing on BBC America, and that besides the Torchwood episodes coming in July they are bringing the Doctor in-house as well, and will start running the 2009 Who Specials in July according to SF Universe. You can also watch the new Torchwood trailer on BBC America. SFX has posted their new list of Fifty of our favourite SF t-shirts including such gems as Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! (with rubber dinosaurs), Upgrade or be Deleted (with soviet-era Cybermen), and It came out of nowhere (with a time-traveling DeLorian crumpled up against the Tardis). The dangerous part is all 50 shirts have links to the sites where you can buy them. The fun part is this is a listing of the second 50; the top 50 were published in the magazine this month.

There are two very different posts focused on the top science fiction moms for this mothers day I would like to share. The first is the Top 10 Sci-Fi/Fantasy Mothers from Fandomainia. Besides the usual TV and Movie actresses you would expect, there is at least one entry I know only from books… because the Maximum Ride movie doesn’t even have a trailer yet. With a completely different attitude, SciFi Sizzle has also put together a list of SciFi’s Hottest Moms. While several of the names and actresses are the same, the pictures are anything but similar. Even with the differences, there is not a single entry on either list I could possibly argue with; take a look at both, and see if you don’t agree.
