Award winning science fiction author John Scalzi is looking forward to the future as much as the rest of us, but he just published a short list of technology he is NOT looking forward to. It does make you think a bit, and you do want to read the comments (if not add your own). If you haven’t had your daily dose of Steampunk yet, here’s a little Abney Park to see you through…
A few videos worth checking out, from Nerdcore master MC Frontalot. If you don’t already know what Nerdcore is, this should help you figure it out. This is not my first or last posting on the topic; the most recent was about real nerds at the Large Hadron facility.
You gotta love Nerdcore, if you are even a little Geeky!
You have to love the section of the TOR website called Of Interest, and here are a few recent examples why. The Web Urbanist has put together one of the best collections of Science Fiction Weapons assembled on a single web page. While mostly blasters, it includes one or two other types of offensive toys (not much for defense, here). Something Awful had its usual collection of Forum entries that allowed them to put together this excellent collection of Star Wars Classic Art. What I enjoy most is the amount of world-class music it includes I had never heard before, or even heard of. BONUS!!!
The true story about Dark Matter, with a Rap base by real Nerds… thanks to Padmasree for this link!!! Other things might happen here, if we pay attention to the details. For Nerdcore Details, see the MC Frontalot video at the bottom… or maybe check MC Frontalot

The new bands are Dirty Old Men and Special Thanks, added to a list that already included Detroit 7, FLiP, Omodaka, Samurai Attack, and many more. The tour kicks off in Austin, TX, at the South by Southwest Festival, then hits other cities, including New York, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, and LA. Here is a taste…
