Maison Book Girl is an art rock band who released their second single on July 19th, but a Japanese single is like a US EP, having 3 to 5 tracks on it. The first song here is the first track on that new single, Rooms. The second song is the second track from their first single, Sin Morning, and that one has English subtitles for those wondering what they are singing about. Their first single actually has 11 tracks on it, so I am throwing in the 5th one as well, Faithlessness. Their live concerts are right up there with METAFIVE for being visually complex as well as musically so, but sadly their record companies attempts at live show production quality do not end up with a product you can actually enjoy watching.

The heir to Studio Ghibli is Studio Ponoc, and they are about to roll out Mary and The Witch’s Flower, their first feature film. It is good to know this kind of quality animation will continue to be created.
We get nothing this week that is definitively genre, but we do get animated silliness in the form of The Emoji Movie, and a kick-ass spy flic with Atomic Blonde. We also get Wolf Warrior 2 bringing the rest of the high-adrenaline level excitement for the week, and Mubarakan has the corner on romantic comedy fun.
Split BoB formed up in high school in 2011, and celebrated graduation by releasing their first album, which went to number 1 on the Tower Records charts immediately. The first track here is from that album, 2012s forget-me-not, followed by I can not become a star, also from their debut. They currently have released 3 mini-albums, 3 EPs, and 4 ablbums, which you can find in all the usual places.
Marvel’s Inhumans starts running on ABC on September 29th, but they will have a sneak peak in IMAX movie theaters on September 1st which I will have to see. In the meantime, here is their new trailer, fresh from Comic-Con.
It is Comic-Con weekend again, and the trailers are everywhere. This one is for Bright, a Netflix exclusive movie about an alternate universe LA, where humans share the world with a huge range of Magical creatures. Staring Will Smith as a cop who was not ready for what he finds himself in the middle of, I am looking forward to seeing it on December 22nd.
