To be specific, he dropped in to Craig Ferguson’s late night TV show, and the first video here did not, apparently, air. The second one did, and comes from Craig’s YouTube page.
Summer Wars is touring various big-screen venues right now, the full listing is at Eventful. You can also use that site to vote for a showing near you; the more people who vote for a town, the more likely some theater will decide to host it.The animation style is somewhat reminiscent of Paprika or Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, not in the appearance of the characters and settings, but rather in the way events evolve and reality is portrayed. I hope I get to catch it on the big screen, and sooner rather than later.
Yes, it looks like they will be doing a Burn Notice movie for the big screen (or possibly the little screen, or maybe both). This one will be a Prequel, telling the story of what lead up to the Burn, focusing on Sam’s activity (Bruce Campbell). They will film it between the 4th and 5th season, but since it takes place before season 1 it won’t matter which seasons you have or haven’t seen when you are in the theater.
It could be the set up for a whole new film, or a trailer for the sequel to the current movie… or it could just be something he threw together for laughs.
What could be more silly than a Ukulele Orchestra doing rock? Perhaps a Kazoo Band, but not much else to my mind. So here are a few silly Ukulele songs to hold us until I can gather together a few of the other tunes.
The interesting film hitting the big screen on Friday is The Warriors Way, the story of a ninja assassin who refuses to murder a child. He had to flee the country with the kid, and ended up in a wild west town filled with misfits, renegades, and outlaws. But before long, his past catches up with him, and it’s Ninjas versus Cowboys for an adrenalin filled conflict. If you are looking for something bit more sedate, Dead Awake will also be out this weekend. If you would prefer your science fiction with a side of strange, Maximum Shame will be in limited release, and still looking for wider distribution.
