For those lucky enough to be in the UK, tonight was the first segment of the new Red Dwarf special on Dave TV. Robert Llewellyn, who plays the part of Kryten in that series, is being Tweeted to death about it, with a reported over 2,000 received so far tonight. For his last several Car Pool segments (he interviews people while driving them around in his car with web cams, very entertaining) he has had fellow Dwarfers Chris Berrie (Rimmer) and Craig Charles (Lister). He will be interviewing Danny and Holly (Norman, not Hattie) in the next week or two, I haven’t heard if Chloe Annett is going to do one or not. For myself, I will be waiting on the release of the DVD in July to watch it and add it to my collection.

As a person who actually still owns a Commodore 64 I had to share this one. In the fight between Billy Gates and Steve Jobs, I vote for Linus Torvalds every time. And then there is Amanda Palmer, buddy of Neil Gaiman and driving force behind Dresden Dolls; if you don’t already know her music, here is an intro with her song Coin Operated Boy. They have started her 10-part interview at Apex, and if you need a better understanding of who she is, check the next video in this group (but only if you are not easily offended, or perhaps work in and understand the media industry). And then one last music track, just because it is one of the most amazing video/audio edits I have seen lately. Enjoy…

In April we will have the first new Red Dwarf in many years, and Dave TV has now posted the schedule. They are running the three new episodes one each night of Easter weekend, along with a selection of the best classic episodes and a behind-the-scenes special. SFX is in the middle of it, running 50 copies only with a special Red Dwarf cover that will be featured in the show. To find one, you need to hunt the newsstands in the UK. The DVD will be released on DVD on June 15th in England, but I have not found a US release date yet.
