The latest Daoko song, just posted today, is called Big Fireworks, and is the theme song for the new animated motion picture Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?. The film opens in Japan on the 18th of this month, and is a remake of a 1993 live action drama of the same name. This one is a slice of life Anime with a side order of time travel, I can’t wait to see it! The animation work itself looks excellent, I hope they don’t wait a whole year before bringing it to the big screen in North America. Oh, yeah, the last trak is Daoko’s Good bye Goodbye from the J-WAVE SONAR MUSIC SPECIAL SHOW CASE about 3 months ago.

The latest track from The Oral Cigarettes is Black Memory, which was posted on line yesterday and already has 185,000 views. If they sound familiar perhaps you know their song Kyouran Hey Kids!!, which is the opening theme to the first season of the series Noragami Aragoto. Its a story abut a minor god determined to make it big who isn’t having a lot of luck getting a shrine started or finding followers. Or perhaps you are currently watching Sagrada Reset, where they do one of the closing themes. They will also be doing the theme for the upcoming live action version of Ajin – Demi-Human, hitting theaters on the final weekend of September, and that is what Black Memory is.

Maison Book Girl is an art rock band who released their second single on July 19th, but a Japanese single is like a US EP, having 3 to 5 tracks on it. The first song here is the first track on that new single, Rooms. The second song is the second track from their first single, Sin Morning, and that one has English subtitles for those wondering what they are singing about. Their first single actually has 11 tracks on it, so I am throwing in the 5th one as well, Faithlessness. Their live concerts are right up there with METAFIVE for being visually complex as well as musically so, but sadly their record companies attempts at live show production quality do not end up with a product you can actually enjoy watching.

Split BoB formed up in high school in 2011, and celebrated graduation by releasing their first album, which went to number 1 on the Tower Records charts immediately. The first track here is from that album, 2012s forget-me-not, followed by I can not become a star, also from their debut. They currently have released 3 mini-albums, 3 EPs, and 4 ablbums, which you can find in all the usual places.

It has been a while since I last posted tunes by My First Story, but they have a new mini-album called LET IT DIE coming out. They just posted REVIVER, which is the second song from it this past Wednesday, and it has already crossed the 300,000 views mark and keeps heading up. The title track from the mini-album is the theme song for a game of the same name which is coming out for the PSP4. I also threw in last Decembers hit Last Call, from their 4th album ANTITHESE.

Vivid Undress is a J-Pop band who just put out their 3rd mini-album, and the first song is I’m Not Menhera from that release, posted online on June 15th. The 2nd track, Urala, was posted on March 31st, while the third is Coelacanth Dance from mid-2016. These give you a place to start, but they have many more tunes worth checking out.
