A picture I took in London, and then processed a bit. This was a photo of Winchester Cathedral, processed as a watercolor/sketch combination. I obviously need to play with the processing some more to get the setting’s just right to create the image I have in my head, but this isn’t a bad start, all things considered. And it does have the advantage of being something I created and therefore own the rights to, so I can use it in other projects as I see fit. I am going to play with some others to see what I can come up with, and share some of them here.
After watching this, I had to share it here. There are several excellent 3D illusions, a shoe shot that is almost as good, and a cat pretending to be 3D. Thanks to Vulture for the heads up on this one.
If you are a fan of Lady Sabre & The Pirates of the Ineffable Aether, you will enjoy this interview. If you are not, you should immediately hop over to the Archives and start at the beginning and read your way up to the present installment. And if you missed them, did you also miss Girl Genius? Shame on you, go back and read them both from the beginning!
This picture from Klein Mania gets my vote for Image Of The Week!
Did you know that in 1969, Salvador Dali did a series of illustrations for that surreal classic, Alice in Wonderland? It is true, and the book itself is not cheap; the second video tells you how to identify it, so you don’t waste your $30K to $60K (depending on where you find a copy). The final video segment is from the 1933 version of Alice, with W.C. Fields and quite a few other folks you should have no problem recognizing.
The Doctor Who Experience was quite memorable, and I wanted to include a few more images from it. While it is difficult to determine what constitutes the proper chronological order for a Timelord, I have no problem posting them in episode order. The first image is from the very first Tom Baker episode, Robot. The second are two Daleks from completely different eras, while the third is the junk Tardis console they cobbled together for Matt Smith’s episode The Doctors Wife.
