At the Syfy channel web site you can stream The Expanse pilot episode right now, without having to wait for the series premier on the channel itself. Earth, Mars, and the Belt are on the ragged edge of war, with the prize up for grabs the vast resources of the Asteroid Belt. This one looks like it is going to be quite tasty, I am looking forward to the new series. It will begin its run on Syfy on December 14th.

The NHK has launched VOD online, and if you love Japanese food you have to watch Dining with the Chef. While the Video On Demand site itself only has links to the last 2 episodes of each of the shows it is carrying, if you go to the main Dining with the Chef web site you can get the final “Let’s Review” portion of the program going back much further. That is where they give you the cliff notes version of the primary recipe for each episode, sometimes including the side dishes like the soups and salads.

You can also Watch NHK Live to see all of their programming from anywhere in the world, and they have a ton of excellent shows they have not yet added to their VOD servers you might want to check out. I have a number of other programs I make sure to never miss each week, including J-Melo for the latest music and Imagine-Nation for news about Anime, Games, Manga, and Otaku Events from all over the world.

Yes! Team RWBY is back, with still more combat comedy and adventure as they roll into volume 3. If you are new to the series, start off with the original 16 episodes of RWBY, then go through 12 more for volume 2, before hitting the new series. This show is being created in Poser Pro by the folks at Rooster Teeth, of combat comedy masterpiece Red Vs. Blue fame. I find this story fascinating, and can’t wait to see where they take it from here.

It starts November 20th, and Jessica Jones on Netflix may be the most extreme Marvel program yet. That makes sense, considering it is limited to a single non-broadcast platform for their first run, allowing them to get as edgy as they want. And when you look at their Comic Book Source Material you begin to realize just how strange and twisted they might end up by the end of the first season. Also worth checking out are the series of IGN interviews that begin to bring the rest of the cast into focus. We only have about another week and a half, I can’t wait to see for myself how they unfold this story.

There is a new tale in the Monogatari! (or Story! in English) series; Kizumonogatari!. This is where the story of apparitions, or BAKEMONOGATARI, begins, and they present it in three parts: “Tekketsu,” “Nekketsu” and “Reiketsu.” If you have been enjoying the Monogatari series so far, it looks like it only gets better from here.

In the Anime series Mobile Suit GUNDAM: Iron Blooded Orphans you have the continuation of the war between Earth and Mars in all its depth and complexity. The Martian independence movement has gained an important supporter in the person of Kudelia, daughter of one of the major terrestrial governing families on the red planet. She has chosen the child soldiers to escort her to Earth, and the are abandoned by the adults looking to save themselves when the assassination teams arrive. The consequences could be much different than the ruling houses on both planets would ever wish. If you are not already a fan of the Gundam franchise, this might be the series that opens your eyes and brings you on board.
