The name of the song is Warning Signs, the name of the band is The Anix, and the track is from the new Mass Effect animation Paragon Lost. Funimation is carrying the feature film, and it has just been released so you can grab a copy for the permanent collection now.
I have two favorite Steampunk bands, and one of them is Professor Elemental, so I just had to share his hysterical new song, I’m British. And because I could, I then also re-posted Fighting Trousers, probably my favorite video from him. Steampunk Rap is also called Chap Hop, and these tunes should give you an idea why. Enjoy!
Sure, and this week we have some fun Mystery J-Rock. I am completely clueless on who does the first track or what it is called, since I only saw squiggles on the page, but I like it a lot. The second one is by Plenty, kind of a J-Grunge band with some interesting music. The third is the Genki Rockets song Touch Me from their second album.
If you are at work, don’t watch this video. I am pretty sure it isn’t safe for most work environments in most country’s, even if I can’t follow the lyrics well enough to tell what is actually going on. Another Rammstein wannabe band, Mundtot’s song Virus Mensch is from their first album: Spätsommer.
The builder of this 2 foot tall (OK, 60 centimeters, but who’s counting?) robot incarnation of Hatsune Miku goes by the name of Rozen Zebet, and he released this video Saturday to show just how good his replicant is. While I personally like the holographic versions they use for the live stage performances, this one is quite tasty, and definitely shows some of the improvements robotics have come up with in recent years. Thanks to the Anime News Network for the heads up on this one.
I should have posted her song Fashion Monster on Halloween, but I didn’t, so you get to see it now. Ever since Pon Pon Pon I have been fascinated by her relentlessly happy music and terminally kawaii clothing styles. As she continues to crank out tunes and designer outfits her popularity in Japan just keeps growing, especially among the Shinjuku crowd. One of Japan’s top rock TV shows, Music Station, reported this song being at number 8 on the singles charts during last Sunday’s program.
