I had to; this is hysterical. Star Wars Bohemian Rhapsody was built by the folks at UAT Digital Video and they did an amazing job with it. Since I do musical posts each Saturday, this seemed like the right day to put this here.
I don’t believe I have ever heard the Star Wars theme music done in quite this style before, so I had to share it. By Lindsey Stirling & Peter Hollens, this was a YouTube Geek Week flagged item which I somehow missed until now. And then, just because I enjoyed that one so much, I went and checked a few more of Lindsey’s tracks, about Zombies and life after the Apocalypse and other normal stuff. That last one is probably my favorite Imagine Dragons cover ever, or at least so far.
While I am not a Parks and Recreation fan, I did enjoy the Star Wars filibuster that Patton Oswalt ran, and somebody in Europe has built the perfect animation for it. OK, maybe in Europe and maybe not, there was a whole question about not being able to upload it from a specific country. This is hysterical, thank you Worlds Without End for the heads up on this one!
Star Wars Detours are a bunch of short animated comedy clips at the moment which I suspect will become a TV show and a DVD fairly soon… after all, it is from the Robot Chicken team. These are absolutely hysterical. And yes, they do have a Facebook Detours pageset.
This is Tiny’s from Second Life doing Star Wars, and it is a mighty impressive presentation. If you know anything about Machinima you will no doubt have recognized the incredible effort that went into this, from the costumes, the set building, the weapons and other props, the characters and their associated animations, the camera work, the editing… Just because it wasn’t filmed in the Real World doesn’t mean that it was some silly game. A lot of the same production hurdles are faced and overcome whichever world you are creating your film in.
From Seth Green by way of The Nerdist Channel, Wookies never smelled this good! The sexy Jedi bubblebath concept is one I have to admit never occurred to me before, but somehow it seems to work.
